For Xfinity TV customers, Black History Month is always on with programming that launched this month and will continue to be available On Demand permanently. Xfinity is committed to making educational and historical television programming available to all customers year-round. Here are a few things to look for in the ‘Black Film & TV’ destination within Xfinity On Demand:
- Black History: Always On
Just like the title of this special collection suggests, expect to find this programming in your Xfinity On Demand menu year-round. This collection includes more than 100 titles of content including historical documentaries, biographical films, Comcast’s original Voices of the Civil Rights Movement profiles, network specials and more.
- Black Women Behind the Scenes
This special section puts the spotlight on women (and men) of color who have behind-the-scenes roles in film. Whether through directing, costuming, or even risking their lives as stunt doubles, Xfinity captured exclusive one-on-one conversations with these talented individuals.
- Black Film Festival on Streampix
In partnership with American Black Film Festival and BlackStar Film Festival, Xfinity will launch a special collection through our Streampix On Demand service, offering access to short and feature length films and webisodes from alumni filmmakers from past festivals.
Find all this content now in the “Black Film & TV” destination on X1. Learn more about this special programming from Comcast’s own Keesha Boyd, executive director of multicultural products and consumer services here: “For Xfinity Customers, Black History is now always on”
