A Community of Support on Comcast Cares Day

Comcast Cares Day volunteers paint a mural.

More than 3,500 Comcast employees, families and friends, and members of the community volunteered their time during the 18th annual Comcast Cares Day doing a variety of cleaning, organizing, food sorting and general beatification work as part of our annual day of service.

In New Mexico this year, we partnered with 12 community organizations on service projects across the state. Volunteers worked at project sites including, Cancer Support of Deming & Luna County in Deming, the Food Depot in Santa Fe, Promiseland Child Development Center in Farmington, the Portales city pool, the Silver City Mimbres Region Arts Council, and at schools in Albuquerque, Gallup, Las Cruces and Raton.

Our New Mexico volunteers joined more than 100,000 of our Comcast NBCUniversal employees, their families and friends, and local partners who made a positive impact this year in 23 countries around the world, doing everything from assembling care packages for U.S. service members to tree planting in areas struck by natural disasters to teaching digital literacy.

Comcast Cares Day is special for all of us—here’s snapshot at what our New Mexico community partners had to say about their experience:
