In celebration of the leadership potential and academic success of outstanding students in our communities, Comcast recently awarded 12 students across New Mexico with $30,000 in scholarships for the 2019-20 academic year as part of the Comcast NBCUniversal Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program

The Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program recognizes high school seniors in New Mexico and across the country for outstanding character, integrity, academic achievement and a commitment to community service.

Each student receives a one-time, $2,500 scholarship to be used toward undergraduate education-related expenses. Since 2001, the program has awarded more than $33 million to nearly 30,000 high school seniors across the country.

“These Leaders and Achievers Scholarship winners in New Mexico have already shown outstanding potential in academics and community engagement,” said Chris Dunkeson, Comcast Area Vice President in New Mexico and Arizona. “I am inspired by them, and we are confident these are the leaders who will propel our communities into the future. It’s a privilege to support them as they continue on their educational journeys.”

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be highlighting these outstanding New Mexico students on our social media channels. Follow us at @ComcastNM on Twitter and @Comcast on Facebook to hear their remarkable stories.
