The New Mexico Tech Council will host its annual Women in Technology Awards celebration, recognizing six local women in STEM for their contributions to industry and community. The celebration will take place virtually on Thursday, July 9, 2020.
Along with the awards ceremony, the program live stream will feature a keynote address from Amy Lynch, senior vice president of Comcast’s Mountain West region. In addition to overseeing more than 3,200 employees, Lynch is responsible for technical operations, engineering, business operations, marketing, external affairs, human resources, sales and the overall financial health of the Mountain West region.
Lynch has more than 21 years of experience in the telecommunications, media and technology industry and has been with Comcast for 16 years. She has been named to Cablefax Magazine’s Top 100 Regional Power Players list for the last eight years and was named one of the San Francisco Business Times’ Most Influential Women.
Lynch is a New England native and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut in addition to leadership certificates from Dartmouth, Tuck School of Business and Harvard. Lynch is an active member of Women in Technology International, Society of Cable Television Engineers and Women in Cable Telecommunications.
The following six women were selected by a judging panel comprised of past award winners to be honored this year:

- Sarah Boisvert, Founder & CEO, Fab Lab Hub
- Jill Meyers, Aviation Consultant, Meyers AeroConsulting
- Kimball Sekaquaptewa, Chief Technology Director, Santa Fe Indian School
- Sharon Sessions, Professor of Physics, New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology
- Caren Shiozaki, EVP & CIO, TMST, Inc.
